Photo Diary, Day no. 4

Day no. 4: Quirky British Charm

Eddie Jacket £535, Scarf £195,
Trousers £285, Loafers £165
All items available in our Tetbury
& Pimlcio shops or online at
http://www.moloh.com

For the last day of our 'moloh about town' photo diary Sarah styled a dynamic moloh outfit combining bold, vibrant colours and  fabrics that defy all the rules of traditional styling to create a look that dares to be different and, most importantly, works perfectly.

Our frilly polkadot silk scarf and plaid Eddie jacket are the centrepiece of this fun ensemble and are the perfect antidote to the predictable uniformity that we see everywhere.

However this doesn't mean everything else needs to be pared down; Sarah's outfit is the perfect example of how having the confidence to mix and match contrasting textures allows each item to be a little bit quirky in it's own right without being overpowering. The linen New Yorker trousers have their own subtle charm and our patent loafers bring a glamorous but practical finishing touch.

moloh Military Style

Emmanuelle Alt in Balmain

This winter, moloh outerwear takes on a distinctly military feel. Double-breasted designs, gold and silver crested buttons, high collars and structured tailoring sum up our 2011 collection.  In fact we spotted Paris Vogue editor Emmanuelle Alt recently in a stunning Balmain coat that closely resembles our moloh Llewellyn, from the close-cut fit down to the cuffs with button detail. Fortunately at moloh you can mirror Ms Alt’s look without the Balmain pricetag...

moloh in the Singapore Business Times

Lifestyle Editor for the Singapore Business Times, Jamie Ee, writes about moloh alongside British designers Philip Treacy and Jenny Packham after visiting our Pimlico shop as part of an international press trip to Belgravia in August.

Go to http://www.businesstimes.com.sg/sub/whatsin/story/0,4574,453916,00.html to read his feature on the Halkin hotel with a special mention to us, Before you utter how old-fashioned, stores like Moloh in Pimlico Road boast genuine made-in-Uk clothes featuring ageless British designs that make great statement pieces’.

The Editor's article 'Luxurious Locale' http://www.businesstimes.com.sg/sub/whatsin/story/0,4574,453915,00.html is also worth a read to find out why Pimlico Road is well worth a visit as one of London's favourite communities.

Summer Skirts

The longest day of summer has now been and gone but at moloh we think the best summer months are yet to come. With a scorching weekend about to grace the UK, classic skirts are the ideal item to be wearing when the sun comes out.  Like the vintage tulip skirt Olivia Palermo was seen wearing in New York, our shimmery golden Perky skirt combines a beautifully tailored classic shape with a sumptuous silk fabric, at once lightweight and structured. For a polished daytime look, team with a simple white tee and moloh black quilted pumps. Subtly glamorous, it is also the perfect antidote to the onset of autumn, easily taken through to cooler evenings worn with opaques and simple black heels.
